Reggio Emilia made a Opening day for Reggiane site on October the 23th in 2005. Officine Meccaniche Reggiane was one of the most important factory in town in metallurgic and mechanics industry (locomotives, engines, planes among all).

Ludens made the project of all the exhibition. A long perimetre was traced with a white plastic cloth, leavings landscape and buildings hidden or shown. Somewhere there were staircase to see choosen views.

Containers were like small theatres to show video talking about the history of the site and of people who worked there. All the people were involved in speeches because we are used to say that “in town everyone has a relative who was involved with Reggiane”.

Lectures, conferences, shows and dj sets animated the abandoned site all day long. It was a strange day, full of surprises and emotions.

Thousands people enter the factory that day. Everyone has its own thought about its renewal..
